Vos responsabilités

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for acting as the intermediary between the client, sales, management, internal departments, and all project-related issues.

Summary of tasks

Sales

  • Work with the sales representative to define the content of internal contracts in detail
  • Create, verify, and modify profiles to support sales
  • Provide renderings to sales representatives and have them approved by the client, if necessary
  • Support sales in the preparation of bids (preliminary calculations)
  • Have a full understanding of the scope of work as defined in the contract and other supporting documents, and work with the salesperson and customer to clarify issues related to the scope of work
  • Define the detailed project schedule
  • Ensure ongoing adherence to the schedule and resolve scheduling issues when necessary
  • Manage exceptional situations in the event of budget overruns
  • Identify changes that occur throughout the project and work with the salesperson to prepare notifications and/or change requests to the customer
  • Prepare monthly project progress reports in the internal management tool
  • Communicate and work continuously with all departments on project-related issues to resolve problems, including developing alternative solutions
  • Conduct or assist with acceptance testing (start-up/load testing/certification of compliance)
  • Create and manage the list of deficiencies
  • Verify that all required project documents have been completed
  • Be familiar with the contract payment terms and inform the vendor and finance department when the payment terms have been met
  • Conduct a closing review and post-mortem at the end of the project
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards
  • Provide technical support to customer service, such as load testing or support for projects originating from customer service
  • Be involved in problem solving and the development of new projects
  • Meet deadlines, follow internal procedures related to the Quality Plan (management of non-conformities), and maintain records

    Votre profil

    Education and qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering
    • Member of the OIQ
    • Three to five years of experience in project management

    Skills and experience

    • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (integrated management software packages)
    • Knowledge of IFS software (an asset)
    • Good command of basic IT tools and 2D and 3D design software
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization

    • Strong autonomy and rigor in managing files
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize and handle multiple files simultaneously
