Based out of our Kelowna, BC office, you’ll travel throughout Western Canada (our clients are mostly ski resorts located all over the Canadian Rockies).

Your tasks

As a Journeyperson Ski Lift Service Technician, you’ll be a key player in delivering expert-level maintenance, inspections and repairs of mechanical and hydraulic systems at customer sites—primarily ski resorts. You’ll rotate through emergency response duties with your team, generate quality technical reports and serve as a trusted partner to our clients.

Job summary

Mechanical maintenance and service

  • Carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs on installations in accordance with current standards.
  • Identify, document and correct anomalies detected during inspections.

Customer support and emergency management

  • Respond to customer emergency calls and intervene promptly to solve mechanical problems.

Technical services agreements and follow-up

  • Conduct technical research into specific requests (non-standard modifications, technical innovations, etc.).
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers or site supervisors during customer interventions.

Quality assurance and after-sales follow-up

  • Perform inspection service to ensure conformity of installations.
  • Participate in the management of deficiencies and post-delivery warranties.
  • Contribute to various customer service programs by providing appropriate technical assistance.

Reporting and compliance

  • Write and archive intervention reports, while keeping customer requests up to date.

Your profile

  • Red Seal certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), or an equivalent Journeyperson-level credential, required.
  • 3 years in a similar field role.
  • Accredited certificate for an industrial training institute.
  • Intermediate written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings
  • Red seal certificate.
  • Technical skills in electromechanics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and solve complex mechanical problems on site, including in emergency situations.
  • Ability to accurately document interventions, anomalies and actions taken, with clear and structured reports.
  • Ability to prioritize emergencies and plan interventions according to customer needs, while optimizing travel time.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction with a proactive approach to solving problems and meeting needs.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Attention to detail and respect for safety and quality standards in all interventions.
  • Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, whether emergencies, changing working conditions or technical adjustments.
  • Although often alone in the field, ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members to share information or feedback.
  • Physically fit to lift loads of up to 35kg.
  • Valid and unrestricted driving license.
  • Valid and unrestricted passport.
  • Interest in working outdoors and at heights.
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes over several consecutive days.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and as needed.
  • Available for weekend work on occasion and/or as needed.
  • Willingness to take short business trips within North America on very rare occasions.

Wage : 40$/h to 45$/h
